Pacing of Unit 6 with CT Connections

Only the lessons that have a change made to them are listed below. All other lessons should be taught as shown in EDM book.

    • Replace the “Practice” on page 555. Allow student to use their Multiplication Dance and Moves Scratch lesson remix to practice mental math strategies with a partner.
      1. Give each pair of students a set of facts you want them to practice.
      2. Student use the facts for the number of “moves” and the number of “dances” in their remix.
      3. Then they tell each other what strategy they used to solve the fact. They choose from doubling, subtracting a group, adding a group, near squares, or breaking apart.
